July 3, 2014Inspired by Karndean’s strong brand, OEG Interiors were tasked with designing a contemporary break out area that would entice staff away from their desk at lunch time whilst, at the same time as doubling up as an engaging meeting space.
Tapping into the modern industrial trend, Karndean opted for an exposed ceiling and feature lighting pendants with bespoke finishes.
“Karndean’s stunning Art Select Canberra Slate and Morning Oak Parquet complemented the large open-plan space perfectly, with clever zoning introduced to distinguish areas and guide visitors around seating areas,” commented Lucy Martin, design manager at OEG interiors.
Uniquely, the space features a one of a kind concrete ping pong table inspired by the well-known James Du Wulf ping pong and dining table, which has been designed to also operate as a conference table.
She continued: “We were able to incorporate Karndean’s statement brand red in the form of diamond shaped artwork panels and Ocee soft seating.”
“The chic Mereway Kitchen was positioned at the front of the space, whereas the lounge needed to be furthest away from the interactive ping pong table. The paper lanterns featured throughout were designed to create a softer and more relaxed ambience.”
John Wright, operations director of Karndean Designflooring, said: “We were immediately impressed with the finished space. The concept was to deliver a break out area that would feel very different from our office environment, so we can encourage our employees to get away from their desk and have a well-deserved break, and OEG has met this requirement perfectly.”

Completed project: Cadman Wealth Planning Ltd
June 25, 2014OEG Interiors are excited to announce the completion of an interior fit-out project for Cadman Wealth Planning Ltd.
Cadman Wealth, a partner practice of St. James’s Place Wealth Management, required an elegant and impressive interior solution for their new premises in Thornbury. OEG Interiors were selected as their preferred interior fit-out partner following a competitive pitching process in which our designs came out on top.
Robert Cadman, Director, commented, “From the very first ‘touch’ with OEG we were impressed. The office fit out was delivered on budget and finished looking exactly like the initial ‘mock ups’. March 26, 2014OEG Interiors are excited to announce the completion of a project for Arla Foods in Aylesbury. Having been involved right from the very early stages of the project it is thrilling to see how the finished interior has turned out.
OEG were contracted to install office furniture to many areas including open plan offices, boardrooms, training rooms and executive offices, not to mention areas such as changing rooms and canteens.
